Exhaustfumesfromtheengine
containcarbonmonoxide,a
colorlessandodorlessgas.A
poorlymaintained,damaged,or
corrodedexhaustsystemcanallow
carbonmonoxidetoenterthecab
orsleeper.Failuretoproperly
maintainyourvehiclecouldcause
carbonmonoxidetoenterthecab
andcausedeath,personalinjuryor
seriousillness.
WARNING
Neveridleyourvehicleforprolonged
periodsoftimeifyousensethat
exhaustfumesareenteringthecab.
Investigatethecauseofthefumes
andcorrectitassoonaspossible.
Ifthevehiclemustbedrivenunder
theseconditions,driveonlywith
thewindowsslightlyopen.Failure
torepairthesourceoftheexhaust
fumesmayleadtodeath,personal
injuryorseriousillness.
NOTE
Keeptheengineexhaustsystem
andthevehicle’scabventilation
systemproperlymaintained.Itis
recommendedthatthevehicle’s
exhaustsystemandcabbe
inspected:
•Byacompetenttechnicianevery
15,000miles/24,000km
•Wheneverachangeisnoticedin
thesoundoftheexhaustsystem
•Whenevertheexhaustsystem,
underbody,caborsleeperis
damaged
NOTE
Useonlyanexactreplacement
partsinAftertreatmentexhaust
system.Usinganoncompliant
replacementpartcouldviolate
emissionsrequirementsandalso
voidtheemissionsystem’swarranty.
