SUSPENSION
DrivingwithDeatedAir
Springs
Ifanairspringisruptured,therewill
beenoughairpressuretodrivethe
vehicletoasafestopoffthehighway
toinvestigatetheproblem.
WARNING
Donotcontinuetodrivewith
rupturedairsprings.Theairloss
cancausethespringbrakestoapply
allowingyourbrakestodragand
burnupthelinings,whichcould
leadtoanaccidentcausingdeathor
personalinjury.Donotcontinueto
operatethevehicleinthiscondition.
Youcangettoarepairfacilityifyoudo
thefollowing:
1.Removetheheightcontrollink
connectedtotheaxleandto
thesuspensionairvalvecontrol
arm.Thiswillcausetheairvalve
controlarmtocenterintheclosed
position.
2.Theairsystemcanthenbe
pumpeduptonormalpressurefor
continuedoperation.
WARNING
Donotdrivethevehicleiftheair
pressureislessthan100psi(690
kPa).Drivingthevehiclewithless
than100psi(690kPa)couldmake
thebrakesunsafetousewhich
couldcauseanaccidentinvolving
deathorpersonalinjury.
CAUTION
Operatingavehiclewithair
suspensionbagseitheroverinated
orunderinatedmaycausedamage
todrivelinecomponents.Ifavehicle
mustbeoperatedundersuch
conditions,donotexceed5mph(8
km/h).
