elevatedduringengineoperation
oranyregenerationeventandcan
causeseriousburnstotheskin.
Allowadequatecoolingtimebefore
approaching,workingonornear
anypartoftheexhaustsystemor
surroundingcomponents.
13.Emissions,Malfunction
IndicatorLamp(MIL)
Illuminateswhenanengineemissions
failurehasoccurred.Thevehicle
canbesafelydrivenbutshouldbe
servicedtocorrecttheproblem.The
situationshouldnotbeconsidered
anemergency.Insomecases,the
MalfunctionIndicatorLampwillactivate
inconjunctionwiththeHighExhaust
Temperature,DieselParticulateFilter
(DPF)andDieselEmissionFluid
(DEF)WarningLights.

Illuminateswhenanonemissions
relatedproblemexists,butthevehicle
canstillbesafelydriven.Vehicle
shouldbeservicedtocorrectthe
problembutthesituationshouldnotbe
consideredanemergency.
