Front Suspension - Spring Pins
•
Lubricate with approved grease. (Refer to Front Axle and Suspension on page 224 for maintenance instructions.)
Drive Axle - Linehaul (PACCAR) - Axle Assembly
• Check oil level and inspect for leaks.
• Visually inspect for damage or leaks.
Drive Axle - Linehaul (PACCAR) - Breather
• Check the operation. If the cap doesn't rotate freely, replace.
Drive Axle - Vocational (PACCAR) - Axle Assembly
• Drain and replace MINERAL BASE lubricant.
Drive Axle (Meritor Line Haul / ON HIGHWAY) - Axle Housing
• Check the "cold" fill level at the differential carrier plug for a pinion angle of less than 7 degrees, or at the axle bowl plug for a
pinion angle of greater than 7 degrees. Tighten the plug to 35-50 lb-ft (47-68 N·m.) (Refer to Drive Axle - Meritor on page 234
for maintenance instructions.)
• Visually inspect for damage or leaks. (Refer to Drive Axle - Meritor on page 234 for maintenance instructions.)
