Configuration Methods Chapter 3

Introduction
This chapter provides information about the different methods you can use to configure the IOLAN.
Before you can configure the IOLAN, you must assign an IP address to the IOLAN. See the
Chapter
4, Getting Started on page 73 to find out how to assign an IP address to the IOLAN.
Once an IP address is assigned to the IOLAN, you can use any of the configuration methods to:
z Configure users.
z Configure IOLAN server parameters.
z Configure serial port parameters.
z Configure network parameters.
z Configure time parameters.
z Reboot the IOLAN.
z Manage the Perle Remote Power Switch (when applicable).
z Manage I/O channels (when applicable).
z View statistics while connected to the IOLAN.
