d. Rotate the engine until Hole (X) in the camshaft

gear is aligned with Position (W) in the front

housing.

e. Install Tooling (B) through Position (W) and into

Hole (X) in the camshaft gear.

4. Follow Step 4.a through Step 4.c in order to install

the crankshaft positioning tool.

a. Remove plug (4) from Position (X) in the

cylinder block.

b. Remove O-ring seal (3) from plug (4).

c. Install Tooling (A) into the cylinder block in

Position (Z).

Note: Tooling (A) must be located in Hole (Y) in the

crankshaft.

Note: Ensure that Tooling (A) is located in the

correct drilling in the crankshaft as shown in

Illustration 65 .

5. Before removing fuel injection pump gear, (8)

ensure that alignment pin (6) is 45 degrees from

vertical and parallel to the center of Torx head plug

(5), refer to Illustration 66 .

6. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove the fuel

injection pump gear from the fuel injection pump

shaft (7).

7. If necessary, remove locating pin (6) from fuel

injection pump shaft (7).
