1. Install a new seal washer (3) onto coolant
temperature sensor (2).
2. Install coolant temperature sensor (2) to the water
temperature regulator housing. Tighten the
coolant temperature sensor to a torque of 25 N·m
(221 lb in).
3. Connect harness assembly (1) to coolant
temperature sensor (2). Slide the locking tab into
the locked position.
4. Fill the cooling system to the correct level. Refer to
Operation and Maintenance Manual, “Cooling
System Coolant Level - Check” and refer to
Operation and Maintenance Manual, “Cooling
System Coolant - Change” for the correct filling
procedures.

Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
NOTICE
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened
component life.
NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are con-
tained during performance of inspection, mainte-
nance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product.
Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable contain-
ers before opening any compartment or disassem-
bling any component containing fluids.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations
and mandates.

1. Disconnect harness assembly (2) from engine oil
pressure switch (3).
2. Using a deep socket remove engine oil pressure
switch (3) from oil filter head (1).
3. Remove O-ring seal (4) from the engine oil
pressure switch.
Installation Procedure
