1. Mount the engine in a suitable stand and place in
the inverted position.
2. If necessary, remove dipstick (2) from engine oil
pan (3).
3. Remove sealing washer (5) (not shown) from oil
drain plug (6).
4. Remove bolts (4) from engine oil pan (3).
5. Attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil pan (3).
The engine oil pan can weigh 45 kg (99 lb).
6. Use the lifting device in order to remove engine oil
pan (3) from the cylinder block.
7. Remove gasket (1) (not shown).

8. If necessary, follow Step 8.a through Step 8.d in
order to remove oil suction pipe (8) from the
cylinder block.
a. Remove Allen head cap screw (9) from oil
suction pipe (8).
b. Remove bolts (10) from the oil suction pipe.
c. Remove the oil suction pipe from the cylinder
block.
d. Remove O-ring (7) from oil suction pipe (8).
