1. Use Tooling (A) to install crankshaft bearing (9) to
the cylinder block. Follow Steps 1.a through 1.c in
order to install the crankshaft bearing.
a. Ensure that oil supply hole (12) is aligned with
the oil gallery in the cylinder block.
b. Ensure that joint (10) is upward.
c. Ensure that chamfer (11) faces toward the
cylinder block.
End By:
a. Install the crankshaft assembly. Refer to
Disassembly and Assembly, “Crankshaft - Install”.

Removal Procedure
Start By:
a. Remove the engine oil relief valve. Refer to
Disassembly and Assembly, “Engine Oil Relief
Valve - Remove and Install”.
b. Remove the crankshaft rear seal. Refer to
Disassembly and Assembly, “Crankshaft Rear
Seal - Remove and Install”.
c. Remove the engine oil pump and the suction pipe.

d. Remove the pis
tons and the connecting rods.

NOTICE
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

1. The engine should be mounted in a suitable stand
with the rear end upward.
