The PERKINS IG CEM unit also houses a DEF unit injector mounted in the
pipe exhaust pipe outlet from the DPF and before the SCR Catalyst. The DEF
injector supplies atomised DEF into the exhaust system. This DEF is then
converted into ammonia across the SCR Catalyst to react with the engine out
NOx.
To aid the control of the engine aftertreatment the IG CEM is fitted with a
