ich Generate This Code:
This code is generated by the fuel injection pump.
The fuel injection pump will detect the following
condition:
•
An internal failure of the fuel injection pump
software.
System Response:
The ECM will lo
g the diagnostic code. The diagnostic
code may be viewed on the electronic service tool.
The ECM wi ll n
ot allow the engine to start while the
diagnostic code is active.
If the engine
is running and the diagnostic code
becomes active, the ECM will cause the engine to
shutdown.
Possible Performance Effect:
The E CM will c
ausetheenginetoshutdown.
The engine will not start while the diagnostic code
is active.
Troubleshooting:
Contact the Perkins Technical Support Centre in
order to check if the software version is correct. Also
check that t
here have been no software updates.
If the problem still e xists contact the Perkins Technical
Support Cen
tre in order to change the fuel injection
pump. The warranty of the fuel injection pump will
be affected if the pump is replaced without prior
consultat
ion.
Replace the fuel injection pump. Refer to Disassembly
and Assemb
ly, “Fuel Injection Pump Remove and
Install”.
Check for a
ctive diagnostic codes.
Results:

OK – STOP.

Troubleshooting:
