Troubleshooting Section
A. Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
B. Remove the two wires from the P20:11 set speed
control continue or accelerate switch. Use a
suitable jump
er in order to join the two wires
together.
C. Turn the keysw
itch to the ON position.
D. Monitor the status screen on the electronic service
tool. Slowly c
onnect and disconnect the jumper
from the P20:11.
E. Repeat this p
rocedure for each of the following
“machine interface connections”:
•
P20:19 Set Sp
eed Control 1 or Speed 2
•
P20:20 Set Speed Control Speed or Decelerate
•
P20:28 Set Speed Control ON or OFF
•
P20:29 Set Sp
eed Control Kickout Switch
•
P20:37 Switch Return
Expected Result:
When the jump
er wire is connected the status of the
setspeedswitchshouldbe“CLOSED”.
When the jump
er wire is disconnected the status of
thesetspeedswitchshouldbe“OPEN”.
Results:
•
OK – The switch is faulty.
Repair: Replace the switch and verify that the
repair has eliminated the problem.
STOP.
•
Not OK – Ther
e is a problem with the wiring
harness between the set speed control switch and
the engine ECM. Proceed to Test Step 5.
