When installing waterproof Pergo fl oors, be sure to close all
the joints tightly and seal the perimeter of the fl oor with 100%
silicone. This protects the cut edges of the planks to ensure that
liquids won't get underneath. For ease, and to limit the amount of
sealant being used, place a 3/8" foam backer rod in the expansion
gap around the fl oor and apply a bead of silicone along the top.
Smooth with your fi nger and wipe away any excess silicone before
installing your moldings.
Use sealant with your transitions according to the instructions in
the fl ooring package.
