5. Lift to loosen the bevel locking lever
(Fig. 8).
6. Loosen the bevel locking nut (Fig. 9a),
and adjust the adjusting screw in or
out with a hex wrench (not included) as
shown in Fig. 9b until the leg of the
square is ush with the saw blade along
its entire length.
7. Once the angle is set, retighten all the
bolts and the bevel locking lever.
NOTICE:If the bevel-lock lever does not
secure the saw arm when it is tightened,
please refer to BEVEL-LOCK TENSION
ADJUSTMENT.
BEVEL-LOCK TENSION ADJUST-
MENT
Over time and through normal use, the ten-
sion in the Bevel Lock Lever may require
adjustment. Follow the steps below to make
proper tension adjustments.
To tighten the bevel lock lever tension:
If the bevel locking lever is in the lower
locked position and the miter saw head will
not lock, then perform the tension tightening
steps shown below.
1. Start from the locked position. (Lift
down the lever see g.10a)
2. Pull the lever towards you.(See g.10b)
3. Lift the lever up. (See g.10c)
4. Release the lever. (See g.10d)
NOTICE: The lever should automatically
snap back. If it does not snap back, move
the lever up and down slightly until it releas-
es and snaps back.
5. Push the lever down. (See g.10e)
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 as necessary
until desired tension is achieved.
