Safe Operation Practices READ and UNDERSTAND this manual completely before using 13 Ton Log Splitter. Operator must read and understand all safety and warning information, operating instructions, maintenance and storage instructions before operating this equipment. Failure to properly operate and maintain the log splitter could result in serious injury to the operator or bystanders.
Preparation 1. Always wear safety shoes or heavy boots. 2. Always wear safety glasses or safety goggles during operating this machine. 3. Never wear jewelry or loose clothing that might become entangled in moving or rotating parts of the machine. 4. Make sure machine is on level surface before operating. 5. Always block machine to prevent unintended movement, and lock in either horizontal or vertical position. 6. Always operate this machine from the operator zone(s) specified in the manual.
Maintenance and Storage 1. Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug and ground it against the engine before cleaning, or inspecting the machine. 2. Stop the engine and relieve hydraulic system pressure before repairing or adjusting fittings, hoses, tubing, or other system components. 3. To prevent fires, clean debris from the engine and muffler areas. If the engine is equipped with a spark arrestor muffler, clean and inspect it regularly according to manufacturer’s instructions. Replace if damaged. 4.

Assembly Instructions STEP 1: Wheel Assembly 1. Attach wheel to the wheel stand (#43) using flat washer Ø16 (#36), hex slotted thin nut M16 (#23) and cotter pin Ø4x36 (#24). 2. Assemble the wheel assembly to the frame and secure using the hex bolt M10x50 (#27), flat washer Ø10 (#16) and nylon lock nut M10 (#18). STEP 2: Front Support Leg 1. Rotate the front support leg up and secure with the lock pin.
STEP 3: Attach Control Valve Handle 1. Insert the control valve handle into the base and secure handle with a 10mm wrench. STEP 4: Change Engine Position 1. Engine needs to be moved away from the cylinder to operate correctly. Loosen the hex bolt M10x45, lock washer Ø10 and hex nut M10, slide the engine out away from the cylinder and retighten the hex bolt, lock washer and nut. WARNING Engine must be moved away from the cylinder to operate correctly.
Operation Instructions WARNING Before operating or using the log splitter, review the instructions below and all safety information. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or injury to the operator or bystanders. CONTROL HANDLE The control handle has two positions Splitting and Return. SPLITTING: Move the control handle FORWARD to split wood. RETURN: Release the control handle to RETURN the push plate to its original position automatically.
STOPPING ENGINE 1. Move throttle control handle to STOP or OFF position. 2. Turn off the engine switch. 3. Disconnect spark plug wire and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting. IMPORTANT: Your log splitter is shipped without engine oil. You MUST add oil before operating. Be careful not to overfill. WARNING: Read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings on the machine and in this manual before operating.
WORK ZONE AREA WARNING: There is no hydraulic oil in your log splitter you must check and add oil before using. IMPORTANT: Always operate this machine in Operator Zone. Keep people and pets away from the Danger Zone (D Zone) when splitting logs. HOW TO SPLIT LOGS WITH A SLANTED SURFACE ` WARNING: Never remove partially split wood from the wedge with your hands. Fingers may become trapped between the split wood.
TRANSPORTING THE LOG SPLITTER IMPORTANT: Always turn the fuel valve to the OFF position and rotate up the support leg, attach to the vehicle tow plate and secure with the lock pin. NOTE: Use caution when backing up. It is recommended to use a spotter outside the vehicle. Do not exceed 5 MPH when towing the splitter Before Each Use 1. 2. 3. 4. Remove the dipstick and check hydraulic fluid level. Check engine oil level. Refill if necessary. Fill up gasoline if necessary.
OPERATING TIPS Always: 1. Use clean fluid and check fluid level regularly. 2. Use an approved hydraulic fluid: 10W AW-32, ASLE H-150, ISO 32 3. Use a breather cap on fluid reservoir. 4. Flush and clean hydraulic system before restarting after servicing. 5. Use “Teflon Tape” on all hydraulic fittings. 6. Allow time for warm-up before splitting wood. 7. Prime the pump before initial start-up by turning over the engine with spark plug disconnected. Split wood along the grain (lengthwise) only. Never: 1. 2. 3.
STORING YOUR LOG SPLITTER Prepare your log splitter for storage at the end of the season or if the log splitter will not be used for 30 days or more. WARNING: Never store machine with fuel in the fuel tank inside of building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark, or where ignition sources are present such as hot water and space heaters, furnaces, clothes dryers, stoves, electric motors, etc. 1. Clean the log splitter thoroughly.
Beam and Push Plate Lubricate the beam before each use with engine oil. Lubricate the top of the beam and under the top edge so the push plate will easily move across the beam. If necessary adjust the side bolts so the wedge moves freely. There should be no excess space between the push plate and beam. Hose Clamps Check, before each use, if hose clamps on the suction hose (attached to the side of the pump) are tight. Check the hose clamps on the return hose at least once a season.
Troubleshooting WARNING Before troubleshooting or attempting to service, read and follow all safety instructions to avoid serious injury to the operator or bystanders from moving parts that can crush, cut, burn or have escaping high pressure hydraulic fluid. Instrucciones de Ensamblaje PASO 1: Ensamblaje de Rueda 1. Attachez l’ensemble roue au soporte de elevación en utilisant la rondelle plate Ø16, ecrou fin à six pans fendu M16, chaveta Ø4x36. 2. Monte el conjunto de la rueda al marco y asegúrelo con el perno hexagonal M10x50, la arandela plana Ø10 y la tuerca M10. PASO 2: Pata de Apoyo Delantera 1. Gire la pata de apoyo delantera y asegúrela con el pasador de seguridad.
Paso 3: Conectar la manija de válvula de control 1. Inserte la manija de válvula de control en la base y asegure la manija con una llave de 10mm. PASO 4: Cambiar la Posición del motor 1. El motor debe ser movido hacia fuera del cilindro para funcionar correctamente. Afloje el perno hexagonal M10x45, arandela Ø10 y tuerca hexagonal M10, deslice el motor hacia afuera del cilindro y vuelva a apretar el perno hexagonal, la arandela de bloqueo y la tuerca.
Instrucciones de Operación ADVERTENCIA Antes de operar o usar la hendedora de troncos, revise las instrucciones de abajo y toda la información de seguridad. El incumplimiento de estas instrucciones puede resultar en daños a la propiedad o lesiones al operador o a terceros. MANIJA DE CONTROL El mecanismo de control tiene dos posiciones: Hender y Volver. HENDER: Mueva la manija de control hacia adelante para hender madera.
DETENER EL MOTOR 1. Mueva la manija del acelerador de control de a posición DETENER o APAGADO. 2. Apague el interruptor del motor. 3. Desconecte el cable de bujía y conéctelo a tierra contra el motor para evitar un arranque accidental. IMPORTANTE: La hendedora de troncos se envía sin aceite del motor. Usted debe agregar el aceite antes de la operación. Tenga cuidado de no llenar en exceso.
ÁREA DE ZONA DE TRABAJO ADVERTENCIA: No hay aceite hidráulico en la hendedora debe revisar y añadir el aceite antes de usarlo. IMPORTANTE: Siempre haga funcionar esta máquina en la Zona del Operador. Mantenga a las personas y las mascotas alejados de la zona peligrosa (Zona D) Cuando se hienden los troncos. CÓMO DIVIDIR LOS TRONCOS CON UNA SUPERFICIE INCLINADA ` ADVERTENCIA: Nunca quite la madera parcialmente hendida de la cuña con las manos. Los dedos pueden quedar atrapados entre la madera hendida.
TRANSPORTAR LA HENDEDORA DE TRONCOS IMPORTANTE: Siempre apague la válvula de combustible a la posición APAGADO y gire la pata de apoyo, conéctela a la placa remolcador del vehículo y asegúrela con el pasador de seguridad. NOTA: Tenga cuidado al realizar copias de seguridad. Se recomienda el uso de un observador exterior del vehículo. No supere a 5 MPH cuando se remolca la hendedora. Antes de cada uso 1. Retire la varilla y compruebe el nivel de fluido hidráulico. 2. Revise el nivel de aceite del motor.
CONSEJOS PARA LA OPERACIÓN Siempre: 1. Use líquido limpio y verifique el nivel del líquido con regularidad. 2. Utilice un fluido hidráulico aprobado: 10W AW-32, ASLE H-150, ISO 32. 3. Use una tapa de ventilación en el depósito de fluido. 4. Enjuague y limpie el sistema hidráulico antes de reiniciar después del servicio. 5. ALMACENAMIENTO DE SU HENDEDORA DE TRONCOS Prepare su hendedora de troncos para el almacenamiento al final de la temporada o si la hendedora de troncos no se utilizará durante 30 días o más. ADVERTENCIA: Nunca almacena la máquina con combustible en el interior del tanque de combustible de un edificio donde los gases pueden alcanzar una llama o chispa, o donde hay las fuentes de ignición tales como los calentadores de agua caliente y espacio, hornos, secadoras de ropa, estufas, motores eléctricos, etc 1.
Viga y Placa de empuje Lubrique la viga antes de cada uso con aceite de motor. Lubrique la parte superior de la viga y debajo del borde superior por lo que la placa de empuje se moverá fácilmente a través de la viga. Si es necesario, ajuste los tornillos laterales por lo que la cuña se mueve libremente. No debe haber espacio excesivo entre la placa de empuje y la viga.
