1.  Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could 
harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it 
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your 
distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules. 
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer. 
2.  Safety Instructions 
•  Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users. 
•  Do not connect to an appliance with a load exceeding the capacity of the timer (see Technical 
Specifications). 
•  Do not use a timer to control an appliance containing a heating element (cooking appliance, heater, iron…). 
•  Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. 
•  Always make sure the plug of the connected appliance is fully inserted into the timer. 
•  Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the 
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems. 
3.  Operation 
Setting a countdown program 
Rotate the dial plate to set the mode you like by aligning that to the triangle mark. The available modes are: 
mode  description 
OFF  always off (photo sensor is disabled) 
ON  always on (photo sensor is disabled) 
DUSK-DAWN  on at dusk, off at dawn 
2 – 4 – 6 – 8 Hrs  on at dusk, switches off automatically after the 
corresponding number of hours (2 – 4 – 6 – 8) 
Connecting an appliance to the timer 
1.  Plug the timer into the power outlet. 
2.  Set the program you want. 
3.  Plug your appliance into the timer socket. 
4.  Make sure your electrical appliance is switched on. 
The appliance will then be turned on/off according to your settings. 
Notes 
•  If the photo sensor detects daylight during countdown, the countdown function will be disabled. If it detects 
the dusk again, the countdown will restart from the beginning. 
•  If you change the mode during countdown, the current mode will be stopped and the new mode will start. 
•  The timer detects daylight as soon as you plug it in. Make sure the photo sensor cannot be influenced by 
other light sources. 
4.  Cleaning and Maintenance 
•  Remove the timer from the mains before cleaning. 
•  Wipe with a dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or any liquid.
