Shooting Functions

Press the shutter release button fully.
Pictures are taken continuously while the shutter release button is fully 
pressed. Take your finger off the shutter release button to stop.
Takes pictures at a set interval from a set time.
The following items can be set.
• The shooting mode is fixed to g in \ (Moving Object)/Z (Pet)/R (Kids) of 
H mode.
• The focus position is locked with the first image and is used for subsequent 
images.
• If the file format is changed to [RAW] or [RAW+] while g is selected, the 
shooting mode is temporarily changed to h.
• The shutter cannot be released until charging is complete when using the 
built-in flash. Set [12. Release While Charging] to [On] in the [A Custom 
Setting 2] menu to enable shutter release before the built-in flash is ready.

• Select 9 (Single Frame Shooting) in the Drive Mode setting screen to cancel 
Continuous Shooting. The setting is canceled automatically when the camera 
is turned off if [Drive Mode] is set to P (Off) in [Memory] of the [A Rec. Mode 3] 
menu. (p.201)
Interval Shooting
Interval Set the time interval between shots from 1 second to 24 hours.
Number of 
Shots
Set from 2 to 999.
The number of images that can be set varies depending on the 
shooting conditions such as the amount of available space on the 
SD Memory Card.
Start Interval
Select whether to take the first picture now or at a set time. 
Selecting [Now] starts recording immediately. When [Set Time] is 
selected, set [Start Time].
Start Time Set the time at which to start shooting.
Interval Shooting is not available in the following situations.
• when p mode or C mode is set
• when Multi-exposure is set
