When the subject is in focus in = mode, the focus is locked while the 
shutter release button is pressed halfway and the picture can be 
recomposed (except when [Autofocus Method] is set to E).
Below is an example of how to capture an image using the focus lock 
function when [Autofocus Method] is set to H.

Set the focus mode to =, and [Autofocus Method] to H.

Frame the desired composition 
for your picture on the monitor.

Center the subject to focus on 
the monitor, and press the 
shutter release button halfway.
The AF frame turns green when focused. 
The focus is locked while the AF frame is 
green.

Recompose the picture while 
keeping the shutter release 
button pressed halfway.
Locking the Focus (Focus Lock)
Turning the zoom ring with the focus locked may cause the subject to be out of 
focus.
