You can set the camera so that pressing the =/L button focuses
automatically, in the same way as pressing the shutter release button
halfway.
1 Assign [Enable AF1] or [Enable AF2] to the =/L
button.
Refer to “Setting the =/L Button Operation” (p.152) for details. By
default, autofocus can be performed by either pressing the shutter
release button halfway or using the =/L button.
2 While viewing the subject on the
monitor, press the =/L
button.
The autofocus system operates.
