Taking Pictures

Use the four-way controller (45)
to select j and press the 4
button.
The camera is ready to take a series of
pictures.

Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame on the display turns green when the camera focuses
on the subject at the correct distance.

Press the shutter release button fully.
Pictures are taken continuously as long as you keep the shutter
release button pressed.
• The flash does not discharge in j mode.
• j cannot be selected in 9 (Green), C (Movie), p (Frame
Composite) or F (Digital Panorama) mode.
• Pixel Track SR does not operate in j mode.
•In j mode, you can continue shooting until the memory capacity of
the SD Memory Card or the built-in memory is full.
• The interval of j (Continuous Shooting) varies according to the
Recorded Pixels settings.
• The focus and exposure are locked with the first shot.
• When the Face Recognition is activated (p.65), it works only when
taking the first shot.
• Blink Detection function works only for the last shot.
•In b (Auto Picture) mode, pictures are taken continuously in the
appropriate shooting mode selected for the first shot.
