Using the Flash

Set the mode dial to e, K or c.

Press the E button.
The built-in flash pops up.

Set the flash mode to G or H.
The shutter speed is set slower to give a proper exposure for the
background.

Take a picture.

Set the mode dial to b, L or a.

Set the flash mode to E or F.

Set the shutter speed (for b mode) or shutter speed and
aperture value (for L or a mode).
Set so a proper exposure is obtained at a shutter speed of 1/180 seconds
or slower.

Press the E button.
The built-in flash pops up.

Take a picture.
