For details, refer to your camera operating manual. For the DA lens The focus mode switch on the DA lens is used to change between the autofocus and manual focus modes (the focus mode switch on the camera is always set to autofocus). To use the autofocus, set the switch to the AF position.

" Memo: The lens hood cannot be mounted on some circular polarizing filters that are not produced by PENTAX, depending on the type.

Precaution on filters • Since a filter becomes a part of the optical system when attached on the lens, handle it in the same way you handle the lens with care to dust, dirt and scratches.

When the flash is used within 0.7m, it causes incorrect exposure control and vignetting in the picture corners. • Refer to the “Compatibility of DA Lenses with the Built-in Flash” chart on page 42 for information on the compatibility of the built-in flash with the lens being used.
