Settings Menu: Erase EEPROM (Erase System Memory)
EasyTouch system configuration data is stored and retained in “Flash” memory in an EEPROM located on the
outdoor control panel motherboard, indoor control panel and wireless control panel. The EasyTouch user
system configuration data can be erased to restore the factory defaults settings. System information
automatically downloads from programmed components to non-programmed components in case of accidental
memory loss and to ease board replacement. Any optional controllers (iS4, QuickTouch QT4 controller) that
were configured will need to be reconfigured.
Erase EEPROM
The following procedure describes how to erase the system memory from either the main EasyTouch outdoor
control panel or the EasyTouch wireless control panel.
CAUTION: This procedure will erase all system settings. Any optional controllers will need to be
reconfigured.
Up/Down button: Select Yes .
Right button: The message “Erase EEPROM Are You Sure? No” is displayed.
Up/Down button: Select Yes .
Right button: Press this button to erase system data and restore the factory
defaults. The display will go blank, then the main screen will be displayed.

Settings Menu: Backlight Options
Use the backlight “On Time” option to set the duration that the backlight is on. The “Brightness” setting allows
you to set the backlight brightness. These options can help to reduce power consumption and extend battery
life. The Backlight options are:
• On Time: Backlight is on for 60 seconds, 30 seconds, five minutes, or off. The default setting is 30
seconds.
• Brightness: Backlight brightness can be set to low, medium or high. The default setting is medium.
Backlight Options
To set the backlight duration and brightness:
Up/Down buttons: Select 30 S, 60 S or OFF for the backlight duration.
Right button: Select LOW, MED or HI for the backlight brightness setting.
Menu/Select: Press this button to save settings and to return to the previous screen
