Operation Manual
The above data influence the estimated time of arrival (ETA),
including the values displayed in the route info ("Route|Info"
menu), and the traffic speed during route demonstration
("Route|Demo" menu).
Preferences
On this screen, you can configure the following options::
Calculating the route:
• automatic when Start and End – if enabled,
AutoMapa will calculate the route after setting START
and END points; if disabled, the system will
remember the route points but will not calculate the
route. To calculate a route based on such points, use
the "Recalculate route" option in the route menu, the
"Modify" option.
• ask for parameters before calculation – if
enabled, the system allows the user to set the
parameters prior to route confirmation.
The user may also tell the program how to use toll roads, ferries and highways when mapping the route. The available
settings are: "Ask", "OK" (unconditional approval) and "Avoid".
Calculation
Calculating speed – regulates the parameters for the heuristics of the algorithm determining route calculation; the
relationship is as follows: lower speed = better algorithm
accuracy.
Best route as – introduces parameters for the algorithm of
calculating the best route as the route determined more on
the basis of road throughput (fast route) or their length
(short route).
Skip roads of class (and worse) – skips road sections of
class equal or worse than specified. Option does not apply to
off-road or walking routes.
After route calculation – specifies the view to be displayed
directly after route calculation. The view may show the entire
route on the map, display information about the route, show
the first manoeuvre on the route (together with the pilot
panel), alternatively, the map view may remained
unmodified.
Other
Automatic route correction - enables/disables automatic route correction. If disabled, AutoMapa wil not recalculate the
route after driving off it.
