Operation Manual
View
With these options you can adjust the colours of the map to
reflect your preferences, and change the manner of its
display in 3D mode.
Map colours in day mode – specifies the map colour set,
selected separately for day mode.
Map colours in night mode – specifies the map colour set,
selected separately for night mode.
Horizon (in 3D view) - specifies the method for displaying
the horizon in 3D mode.
Inclination (in 3D view) - specifies the method for
displaying the map slope, depending on the scale ("Auto") or
at a set value.
Preferences
In this screen you can enable/disable the following options
used during navigation:
Show on the map in addition – in this section, you can
select additional display of GPS position and altitude, the
compass indicating the direction of travel and the direction to
the next route point (displays an additional arrow on the map
screen, indicating the direction to the next route point), as
well as the route progress bar.
Automatically run - Enables/disables automatic running of
the following options:
• switching to 3D mode – the map will be
automatically switched to the 3D mode
• switching to night mode - if this option is
activated, AutoMapa will automatically (based on the
GPS reading, including the position, time of day and
year) switch to night mode, i.e. it will change the
colours of the map and of other components of the screen to a setting more suited to night-time navigation,
which does not tire the eyesight and does not dazzle during the drive, when the car interior is dark.
• turning the map in the driving direction – in showing position and navigation mode, the map is rotated in the
direction of user rotation. If disabled, the map will always be oriented to the north, and the cursor of GPS
position will be located at the middle of the screen. Note: this option does not apply to map rotation in 3D mode,
i.e. map auto-rotation may be disabled only in 2D display mode.
Scale
The two first screens enable the users to adjust the scale
used automatically with the following modes: city scale in 2D
mode, city scale in 3D mode, intermediary scale 2D,
intermediary scale 3D, overview scale 2D, overview scale 3D.
On the last screen you can enable/disable automatic zooming
in/out of the map upon turning or POI warnings: the
application will change the scale at the turn or in the
proximity of the POI, to ensure their improved visibility on
the screen. AutoMapa also offers the adjustment of the scale
for map zooming in/out.
