Operation Manual

On the last screen you can enable/disable automatic zooming
in/out of the map upon turning or POI warnings: the
application will change the scale at the turn or in the
proximity of the POI, to ensure their improved visibility on
the screen. AutoMapa also offers the adjustment of the scale
for map zooming in/out.
3.3.2 Route - Settings
In this dialog box you can specify additional parameters for
the AutoMapa route calculation function.
Car details
In this box you can set the length and frequency of scheduled
stops on the route, average speeds for particular road
grades, and the related estimated fuel consumption.
The above data influence the estimated time of arrival (ETA),
including the values displayed in the route info ("Route|Info"
menu), and the traffic speed during route demonstration
("Route|Demo" menu).
Preferences
On this screen, you can configure the following options::
Calculating the route:
automatic when Start and End if enabled,
AutoMapa will calculate the route after setting START
and END points; if disabled, the system will
remember the route points but will not calculate the
route. To calculate a route based on such points, use
the "Recalculate route" option in the route menu,
item "Modify".
ask for parameters before – if enabled, the
system allows the user to set selected parameters
prior to route confirmation.
AutoMapa can also specify the utilization of pay roads, ferries and highways. Available settings are: "Ask", "OK"
(unconditional approval) and avoiding.
Calculation
Calculating speed – regulates the parameters for the heuristics of the algorithm determining route calculation; the
relationship is as follows: lower speed = better algorithm accuracy.
