4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye Exposure: Check for and remove contact lenses. The exposed eyes should be washed immediately with large amounts of water,
occasionally lifting upper and lower lids, for at least 30 minutes until no evidence of chemical remains. If irritation persists, seek
medical attention.
Skin Exposure: Irrigate affected skin areas with soap or mild detergent and large amounts of water for at least 15-20 minutes until no
evidence of chemical remains. If irritation or pain persists, seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Medical attention should be obtained immediately. Immediately dilute with 4 to 8 ounces (120 to 240 ml) of milk or water
(not to exceed 15 ml/kg in a child).
Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air. Monitor for respiratory distress. Keep victim warm and at rest. If respiratory difficulties persist,
seek medical attention.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flashpoint: Not Applicable.
Flammable Limits: Not Applicable.
Fire Fighting Instructions: Extinguish fire with water spray and C02. Avoid breathing vapors or dusts and stay upwind.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Dry Spills: Sweep up granules. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or breathing dusts.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Wash after handling.
Storage: Material should be stored in original container in a cool, dry area. Store away from food or foodstuffs, other chemicals, and
out of reach of children and animals.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS /PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls: Typical applications require no engineering controls.
Eye protection: Typical applications usually require no protective eyewear. Do avoid direct eye contact.
Hand and body: Protective gloves are recommended.
Respiratory protection: If nuisance dust levels are high, use NIOSH approved respirator with dust/mist cartridges or dust mask.
