3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

General: Crystalline silica. Routes of entry into the body include skin contact, inhalation,

ingestion, and eye contact.

Emergency Overview: Brownish colored granules. Possible nuisance dust may be present with application of

this product.

Threshold Limit Value: OSHA Limits: Total =15 Respirable = 5

Signs & Symptoms of Exposure: Acute Overexposure may irritate respiratory system, eyes and skin.

Chronic Overexposure: May cause pneumoconiosis

OSHA: OSHA does not regulate crystalline silica as a human carcinogen.

The exposed eyes should be washed immediately with large amounts of water, occasionally lifting upper and lower lids, for at least 30 minutes until no evidence of chemical remains. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
