USER SETTING
General Settings
Set up user authentication mode and local/remote information.
Authentication Mode
Set public/private settings of the authentication mode.
User and Group Management
- Local Mode : The default setting is local mode. Any
changes to users and groups affect only the camera
that you are accessing.
- Remote Mode : Set remote mode for users
connected through LDAP or the Active Directory
server.
- LDAP Server : Specify the IP address or hostname
of the LDAP server.
- LDAP Port : Specify the port over which the encoder
will communicate with the LDAP server. The default
port for LDAP Communications is 389.
- Base DN : Type the distinguished name (DN) that is
the basis for LDAP searches.
- Bind DN Template : Provide the template to format
the username (provided when the user logs on to
the encoder) for searches in the LDAP .
- Search Template : Provide the LDAP search query
for users found in the Base DN.
The search must match an entry in the LDAP user record to the bind name (username).
- Admins : Remote server Group Mapping value to be used for Admin designated users.
- Managers : Remote server Group Mapping value to be used for Manager designated users.
- Operators : Remote server Group Mapping value to be used for Operator designated users.
- Viewers : Remote serer Group Mapping value to be used for Viewer designated users.
- User : Input the username credential of a user who can be authenticated through the LDAP server.
- Password : LDAP Server password.
