Quick Start Guide
The Evolution Indoor Concealed camera is intended for mounting
in suspended ceilings with removable ceiling panels with a material
thickness of between 6mm (1/4”) to 1” (25 mm) thick. It is important
to ensure the camera has sufficient clearance when installed.
1. Note the MAC address
Make a note of the camera’s install location and unique MAC
address, which can be found printed on the camera module
side label. This information may be needed during the camera
configuration.

The Oncam Evolution-12 Indoor Concealed 360° Camera is
designed to be connected to an IP network, and it can be
configured and operated using a standard internet browser
software.
This quick start guide describes the installation and
configuration procedures for a standard surface mount
camera application.

• Read these instructions carefully before installing or
operating this product.
• This product should be installed by a qualified service
person and the installation should conform to local and
national regulations.
• This product is not suitable for installation in a ceiling void
that is also used as an air handling space.
CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED
BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES
ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

2b. Fitting the concealed bezel
Insert the concealed bezel through
the hole from the front of the cut out
(lens side) with one hand and using
the other hand fit the blue locking
nut to the rear to secure the bezel in
place.
Ensure the locking nut is correctly
orientated so that the smother side
is against surface of the ceiling / wall
material, and the finger grips are
exposed.
Do not over tighten the locking nut.
2a. Preparing the surface
If possible, remove the panel and cut a 64mm (2.5”) diameter hole
in the center of the panel using either a hole cutter and the template
provided with the camera.
2c. Fitting the camera module
Site the camera module in to the
rear of the bezel. Ensure the camera
module is secured to the bezel by
tightening the module thumb screw
on the camera module so the screw
sits tightly into the slot on the bezel
ring.
Be careful not to over tighten this
thumb screw.
