3. Press the START/STOP button. The
engine stops, the vehicle enters the
Accessory state, see Vehicle electrical
status, page 2.2. The immobilizer is
activated.
NOTE: If the START/STOP button is
pressed for more than a second, the
vehicle will enter the Awake state for a
brief time before returning to Accessory
state if no further inputs are made, see
Vehicle electrical status, page 2.2.
when conditions allow in order to reduce fuel
consumption and exhaust gas emissions and
restarts it again when required.
The following conditions must be met for the
system to automatically stop the engine:
driver is detected as present
driving speed exceeded 6 mph (10 kph)
since previous stop
engine at normal operating temperature
vehicle battery fully charged
air conditioning demand not too high
Normal Powertrain mode active
in the central display.
The icon will illuminate amber if conditions
have not been met and the system is not
available.
If all conditions have been met and the
system is available, the icon will illuminate
green.
