Battery pack This computer includes a battery pack inside.
However, do not attempt to dismount or replace it
by yourself. Contact an authorized TOSHIBA
service provider, if necessary.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack
provides power to the computer when the AC
adaptor is not connected.
For more detailed information on the use and
operation of the battery pack, refer to the Battery
section.

CPU The processor type varies depending on model.
To check which type of processor is included in
your model, open the TOSHIBA PC Health
Monitor utility by clicking PC Health Monitor
under TOSHIBA group in the Apps view, and
then click PC Information.

Hard Disk Drive or
Solid-State Drive
The capacity of the hard disk drive varies
depending on the model.
To check which type of HDD/SSD is included in
your model, open the TOSHIBA PC Health
Monitor utility by clicking PC Health Monitor
under TOSHIBA group in the Apps view, and
then click PC Information.
Note that part of the hard disk overall capacity is
reserved as administration space.
In this manual, the word "HDD" or "Hard disk drive" also refers to the
SSD unless otherwise stated.
SSD is a large-capacity storage device which uses Solid-State
Memory in place of a magnetic disk of the hard disk.
Under certain unusual conditions of prolonged non-use and/or exposure to
high temperatures, the SSD might be vulnerable to data retention errors.
