REAR PANEL 5 11 7 8 9 7d 4 5a 5e 5d 5b 5c 6 7a 7c 7b 10 10a 10b 3 1 2 Fuse (1) The Impulse 115P is AC power line fuse protected from overload and fault conditions with an ABC-type fastblow 15 Amp fuse. The fuse is located within the cap of the fuse holder. If the fuse fails, THE FUSE MUST BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME TYPE AND VALUE IN ORDER TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT AND TO PREVENT VOIDING THE WARRANTY.
Power Switch (3) This rocker switch applies mains power to the Impulse 115P when in the ON position. Power LED (4) This LED illuminates when the preamp electronics receive power and when the Power Switch is in the On position. Inputs (5) The left (5a) and right (5b) channel input jack groups consist of a combo female XLR and 1/4" TRS connector and a male XLR running in parallel. This arrangement allows the audio input signal to be daisychained.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTIONS Clearance of 12" from any combustible surface must be maintained. Do Not connect the inputs of the Impulse 115P to the output of a power amplifier. The inputs are meant to be driven from a line level signal. Do Not remove the protective grill. Do Not use the left input jack group or right input jack group as mixers by trying to run more than one signal source at a time into either channel group.
Volume Control Adjustment The Impulse 115P is equipped with a Master System Level volume control (6). When the Master System Level is adjusted fully clockwise‚ gain is at maximum and the input sensitivity is 0.375 VRMS for full-rated output. When this control is set half way up‚ gain is unity and 1.5 VRMS will drive the system to full power output. When driving the Impulse 115P from a mixer‚ it may be advantageous to reduce the input sensitivity by turning the volume control to the half-way point.
Impulse 115P: Subwoofer with Built-in Crossover To fully utilize the built-in crossover‚ a line level‚ high-pass signal is available at the High-Pass output jacks (8). Use the Left output to send the high-pass output to a powered‚ full-range speaker or to a power amp and full-range speaker. The full-range speakers will reproduce frequencies from 120 Hz and up. This can be repeated for each Impulse 115P connected in this manner.
If the Impulse 115P has been subjected to direct sunlight or excessive heat the built-in thermal protection may have been triggered. If you suspect this may be the cause‚ turn off the Impulse 115P and let it cool for a sufficient amount of time. If there is still no output‚ contact your authorized Peavey dealer or the Peavey International Service Center. Hum or Buzz If the Impulse 115P is producing a hum or buzz‚ it could be AC-outlet related. Try plugging the unit into a different AC outlet.
The Impulse 115P has built-in EQ to extend and smooth the natural response of the woofer in any system. Bass boost is applied and the system has a nominally flat response and should require little‚ if any‚ additional EQ. If excessive bass boost has been added externally to the Impulse 115P‚ it could cause premature overload at very high SPLs. Reducing the amount of external (mixer‚ rack EQ) EQ should clear up any distortion.

DEUTSCH Impulse® 115P Netzbetriebener Subwoofer Wir möchten uns bei Ihnen dafür bedanken, dass Sie sich für den Impulse® 115P, das netzbetriebene Modell des Impulse 115, entschieden haben. Der Impulse 115P ist von Anfang an auf Flexibilität ausgelegt.
Das Gerät ist mit den folgenden symmetrierten Eingängen für jeden Kanal ausgestattet: eine Combo-XLRBuchse und eine 1/4"-RTS-Phonoklinke sowie ein XLR-Thru-Stecker, die alle parallel geschaltet sind. Die Verstärker liefern eine gebrückte Subwoofer-Leistung, die Left- und Right-Lautsprecherausgänge sind verzerrungsarm und liefern eine dynamische Spitzenleistung von 1500 Watt an den Subwoofer und eine dynamische Spitzenleistung von bis zu 750 Watt an die Left- und Right-Lautsprecherausgänge.
IEC-Netzkabelanschluss (2) Diese Steckdose steht für das beiliegende IEC-Netzkabel zur Verfügung, über das das Gerät mit Wechselstrom versorgt wird. Der Erdungsstift darf in keinem Fall an irgendeinem Gerät entfernt werden. Er ist zu Ihrer Sicherheit vorhanden. Ist die verwendete Steckdose nicht mit einem Erdungsstift ausgestattet, muss ein geeigneter Erdungsadapter verwendet und die dritte Ader korrekt geerdet werden.
High-Pass Output (8) Diese hochpassgefilterten Line-Pegelausgänge (links und rechts) werden ebenfalls über den Master-SystemLevel-Regler (6) geregelt. Sie liefern einen Hochpassausgang mit 120 Hz für ein netzbetriebenes Lautsprechersystem oder einen Verstärker mit passivem Lautsprechersystem.
Der Eindruck hinsichtlich des Schallpegels des Impulse 115P kann auf Grund seiner klaren sauberen Klangwiedergabe täuschen. Da kaum Verzerrung vorhanden ist und die Lautstärke nicht als unangenehm empfunden wird, scheint der Schallpegel wesentlich geringer zu sein als er tatsächlich ist.
kann es von Vorteil sein, die Eingangsempfindlichkeit zu verringern, indem der Lautstärkeregler auf die Hälfte heruntergedreht wird. Bei dieser Einstellung wird der Impulse 115P nun noch stärker wie ein typischer Verstärkereingang fungieren. Die Verstärker des Impulse 115P sind mit DDT ausgestattet. Zudem verfügt das Gerät über eine LED (11), die bei aktivierter DDT-Funktion leuchtet. Diese LED befindet sich neben dem Master-System-Level-Regler.
Left/Right Outputs Wird der Impulse 115P als dreiteiliges System eingesetzt, liefern diese Ausgänge ein hochpassgefiltertes Verstärkersignal an das Full-Range-Lautsprechersystem (mind. 8 Ohm). Die Xpanse-Regelung (7b) erweitert die Stereo-Sound-Stufe und ermöglicht eine zusätzliche Bearbeitung der hohen Frequenzen für diese Ausgänge.
Einsatzbereiche Der Impulse 115P eignet sich für eine Vielzahl von Einsatzbereichen wie etwa Beschallungs- und Übertragungsanlagen oder Musik-Playback. Wird das Gerät im Dreikanal-Stereo-Modus eingesetzt, eignet es sich auch für den DJ-Einsatz. Natürlich ist der Impulse 115P auch für den herkömmlichen Einsatz als reiner netzbetriebener Subwoofer ganz hervorragend geeignet.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Licht-Dimmer in denselben Schaltkreis wie der Impulse 115P oder das Mischpult (oder alle anderen Quellgeräte) angeschlossen sind. Werden Licht-Dimmer verwendet, müssen sie eventuell vollständig auf- oder abgedreht werden, um das Brummen zu beseitigen oder zu reduzieren. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein durch die Wechselstromverdrahtung bzw. den Licht-Dimmer verursachtes Problem und nicht um eine Störung des Impulse 115P.
Werden zusätzliche Lautsprecher verwendet, die an die Left- und Right-Ausgänge (9) angeschlossen sind, muss sichergestellt werden, dass ihre Impedanz mindestens 8 Ohm beträgt. Trennen Sie die Lautsprecher vorübergehend ab, sodass Sie feststellen können, ob sie die Verzerrung verursachen. Sind die Left- und RightLautsprecher die Ursache für die Verzerrung, wurde die Gesamtkapazität des Impulse 115P oder der Lautsprecher möglicherweise überschritten.

Interruptor de Corriente (3) Este interruptor aplica corriente al Impulse 115P cuando está en la posición de encendido (ON). Entradas (5) Los grupos de entrada izquierdo (5a) y derecho (5b) consisten de un combo XLR femenino y un conectador TRS de 1/4" y un XLR masculino corriendo en paralelo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN PRECAUCIONES Se debe mantener una distancia mínima de 12" (1/2 metro) de superficies combustibles. No se conecten las entradas del Impulse 115P a las salidas de un amplificador. Las entradas deben ser alimentadas por una señal de nivel de línea. NUNCA se quite la parrilla protectora de metal. NUNCA se usen las conexiones de grupo de entrada izquierda y derecha como mezcladoras con más de una señal al mismo tiempo.
AJUSTE DE CONTROL DE VOLUMEN Las Impulse 115P han sido equipadas con un Nivel Maestro del Sistema (6). Con el control de volumen ajustado completamente en dirección de las manecillas del reloj, la ganancia estará a la máxima sensibilidad de 0.375 V RMS. Cuando el control está ajustado a la mitad, la ganancia unitaria es de 1.5 VRMS. Cuando se alimenta por medio de una consola, puede ser recomendable reducir la sensibilidad de entrada ajustando el control de volumen a la mitad.
Impulse 115P: Sistema Estéreo de 3 Canales Se puede correr una señal de rango completo de las entradas Izquierda y Derecha (5). El interruptor mono (5d) debe estar en la posición fuera (off ) para operar de este modo. Conecta un sistema de parlantes de rango completo de 8 Ohmios a las salidas izquierda y derecha (9). En este modo, el subwoofer reproducirá las frecuencias entre aprox. 45 Hz – 120 Hz. Los parlantes izquierdo y derecho separados pasivamente cubrirán de 120 Hz para arriba.
Ruidos Esto puede tener que ver con la fuente de corriente. Se puede intentar conectar el Impulse 115P a otra fuente de corriente. A veces si se usa un circuito diferente para la mezcladora y la Impulse 115P puede resultar en ruidos (hum). Se puede verificar que los cables que se usan para alimentar la Impulse 115P están propiamente aislados. Los cables de bocinas de 1/4" pueden ser muy propensos al ruido (hum). El ruido comúnmente está relacionado con la tierra.
Las Impulse 115P cuentan con un ecualizador integrado para extender la respuesta suave y natural de los parlantes del sistema. Se aplica un incremento en los graves y en las frecuencias agudas, y la respuesta del sistema es bastante plana y requerirá poco o nada de ecualización posterior. Si se han incrementado considerablemente las frecuencias graves o agudas externamente, esto puede causar saturación prematura a niveles de presión altos.

MANUEL D’UTILISATION Attention Vous devez positionner votre unité à plus de 30 cm de toute paroi combustible. Ne jamais connecter les entrées de votre Impulse® 115P aux sorties d’une unité de puissance, ces entrées sont prévues pour un signal de niveau ligne. NE PAS ENLEVER la grille de protection. NE PAS UTILISER les groupes de connecteurs des entrées comme unité de mixage, en envoyant plus d’un signal par coté.
Contrôle de Volume Votre Impulse® 115P est équipé d’un contrôle de volume (Master System Level - 6). Avec ce contrôle en position maximum (sens horaire), la sensibilité d’entrée de votre Impulse 115P est de 0.375 VRMS. Quand ce contrôle est positionné mi-course, cette sensibilité est de 1.5 VRMS, proche d’amplificateur de puissance standard. Cette position est idéale lorsque vous utilisez votre Impulse 115P avec une unité de mixage standard.
Impulse® 115P: Système Stéréo 3-Enceintes Pour cette configuration, envoyer votre signal stéréo plein-registre à votre Impulse 115P par ses entrés (5). Vérifier que l’interrupteur Mono/Stéréo (5d) soit en position Stéréo. Connecter des enceintes satellites ou médium/aigues (réponse descendant jusqu’à 120Hz) aux sorties droite et gauche (9). Ces enceintes s’occuperont de la diffusion de vos signaux médium/aigus droite et gauche.
Si vous expérimentez des bruits parasites ou grondement de basses-fréquences, il peut être intéressant de déconnecter la masse du signal de celle de votre unité. Pour cela, utilisez l’un des interrupteurs Ground-Lift. L’un est dédié aux entrées (10a) et l’autre aux sorties satellites (10b). Vérifier que les contrôles de volume soient en position minimum avant toute manipulation de cable ou de l’interrupteur Ground Lift.
Exposition au soleil/Chaleur Evitez l’exposition prolongée au soleil pouvant provoquer la mise en route de la protection thermique. L’exposition à des niveaux de chaleur excessifs peut aussi provoquer le déclenchement de cette protection. N’entreposez pas l’appareil dans des endroits extrêmement froids ou chauds ou présentant des niveaux d’humidité élevés. Attendez que l’enceinte atteigne la température de la pièce avant utilisation.
