3.1 Panel Description
1. LCD display: 3 ½ digits LCD display with units of dB, A, C, Lo,
Hi and low battery “BAT” MAX HOLD, DATA HOLD indication.
2. Lo/Hi Button: Selects meter’s Low or High ranges.
3. S/F Button: Selects meter’s slow or Fast ranges.
4. MAX HOLD: If you press the MAX button, the maximum reading
will be held. Press once again the button, will release the hold
and allow a further measurement.
(Maximum Hold: Decay < 15 digits/3min)
5. DATA HOLD: The reading will be held when Data Hold button
Switch is pressed. If the button Switch is pressed once again,
will release the hold and allow a further measurement.
6. Function Switch: Selects measurement functions.
7. Microphone: Electric condenser microphone inside.
8. Calibration potentiometer for CAL94dB-function.
4. Calibration (internal system)
The sound level meter is built in the internal calibration system (1
kHz sine wave generator).
Please according the following procedures to calibrate the
instrument before making operation, if the instrument not in use for
a long time or operate at bad environment.
1. Slide Function switch (6) to "CAL94dB" position.
2. Press Fast/Slow (3) to select "SLOW".
3. Carefully adjust the sensitivity adjuster (8) with screw driver,
until the display read within "94,0 +/- 0,2" dB
