User Manual

2. Press the MODE-button to indicate Ω on the display.
3. Touch the test probe tips across the circuit or part under
test. It is best to disconnect one side of the part under test
so the rest of the circuit will not interfere with the resistance
reading.
4. Read the resistance in the display.
Note:
1. If the resistance value being measured exceeds the
maximum voltage of the range selected, an over-range
indication will be displayed ("OL"). Select a
higher range. For resistance approx. 1 M and
above, the meter may take a few seconds to stabilize.
This is normal for high resistance readings.
2. When the input is not connected, i. e. at open circuit, the
figure "OL" will be displayed for the overrange condition.
3. When checking in-circuit resistance, be sure the circuit
under test has all power removed and that all capacitors
are fully discharged.
5.7. Continuity Check
WARNING! To avoid electric shock, never measure
continuity on circuits or wires that have voltage on them.
1. Set the function switch to the Ω / /
°
))) position.
2. Press the MODE-button to indicate
°
))) on the display.
3. Touch the test probe tips to the circuit or wire you wish to
check.
