5.11. Continuity Check
WARNING:
To avoid electric shock, never measure continuity on circuits or
wires that have voltage on them.
Follow these steps to perform audible continuity test:
1. Set the function switch to the “ / “- position.
2. Insert the black test lead into the /CAP -input jack (-) for
Inductance measurements and the red test lead into /CAP
-input jack (+) for resistance measurements.
3. Press the “ / “-button until the symbol appears in
the display.
4. Touch the test probe tips to the circuit or wire you wish to
check. The buzzer will sound if the measured resistance is
approximately 30 Ω and the middle secondary display will
show “Short” (for short).
