5.9. lnductance Measurements
WARNING
Do not connect any external voltage to the input jacks. When
connecting an external power source to the input jacks, there is
a risk of damage of the equipment.
WARNING:
To avoid electric shock, disconnect both test probes from any
source of voltage before making a inductance measurement.
To test the inductance, please follow the following procedure:
1. Set the function switch to the corresponding measuring
range (11mH / 110mH / 11H / 20H).
2. Insert the black test lead into the mH/H-input jack (-) for
Inductance measurements and the red test lead into mH/H-
input jack (+) for inductance measurements.
3. Connect the test leads to the inductance to be measured
and wait until the LCD-display stabilizes. This may take
several seconds.
4. If “OL” appears in the LCD-display, the measured value is
out of range and it is necessary to use a higher measuring
range
5. Read the measured value in the LCD-Display.
WARNING:
To avoid electric shock, be sure the inductance has been
removed or the test leads are disconnected from the inductance,
before changing to another measurement function.
