5.7. Relative measurement function
The REL function allows reference measurements, for the
representation of component deviations.
 the relative value measurement function is activated by
pressing the "REL" button. On the display the "REL"-symbol
appears.
 The automatic range selection is disabled.
 The current measured value is set to zero and a new
reference value is set.
 Pressing the "REL" key, the device switches to the
difference-display, which is subtracted from the actual
measured value. The display shows the "REL" symbol,
which flashes. Press „REL“ again to toggle between the two
measured values.
 To turn off the relative measurement function, press and
hold the "REL" button for 1 second.
5.8. Capacitance Measurements
WARNING!
To avoid electric shock, disconnect power to the unit under test
and discharge all capacitors before taking any capacitance
measurements.
Discharge the capacitor before measurement!!
To test the capacitance, please follow the following procedure:
1. Set the function switch to the CAP position.
("nF" and a small value will appear in the display).
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the negative (-)-
jack and the red test lead plug into the positive (+)-jack.
3. Touch the test leads to the capacitor to be tested.
4. The display will Indicate the proper decimal point, value and
symbol.
