3.1. AC current measurement
WARNING: Make sure that the test leads are disconnected from the meter before
performing the current measurement.
The fork current meter is able to measure alternating currents up to
200 amperes. The measurements are carried out without contact
and without separate test leads which must be connected to the
instrument.
1. Set the selector switch to the measuring range for the
current measurement
2. Insert the cable to be measured into the open fork of the
meter
3. The measured value is displayed in the LCD display.
3.2 AC (TRUE RMS) / DC Voltage measurement
For the voltage measurement, the enclosed measuring leads are
used. Connect the red and black test leads to the correct socket on
the meter. Turn on the meter and use the selector switch to select
the voltage measurement. The fork clamp meter is able to detect
DC and AC voltage and therefore switches independently into the
respective area to be measured.
Measurement with the function Low Z
Observe all safety precautions when working under voltage. Do not
connect circuits exceeding 600 V AC / DC when the meter is set to
Low Z!
This function is needed when a phantom voltage is expected on a
cable to be measured. Due to the different connection of the voltage
input, you get a low input impedance and that the measurement
result is not further distorted by the phantom power. To start the
