48. Installing the software
The included software installation is required for the operation of the oscilloscope PeakTech
®
in connection
with a PC.
Proceed as described for installing the software and the USB driver:
1. Start Windows Version 98/2000 / XP / VISTA / 7 or 8
2. Put the supplied CD-ROM into the CD / DVD-ROM drive and double-click on "My Computer" on
your Windows desktop.
- Double-click the icon for your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to display the CD contents
- Double-click on "SETUP.EXE"
3. Installation according to the instructions on the screen to perform the installation until it is
completed.
4. Connect the PeakTech
®
oscilloscope to a USB port on your PC
5. Windows will detect new hardware and reports that the USB drivers to be installed now.
6. The USB drivers of the device can be found in the installation directory of the installed software (see
step 3)
7. After the USB drivers are installed, the software DS_WAVE can be started. In the windows start
menu shortcuts were created during the software installation with which you can start the software
or uninstall it.
NOTE:
Please install the supplied software, including all USB drivers before connecting the oscilloscope
PeakTech
®
with your PC.
