4. Operation
The PeakTech
®
1010 may be used for the testing of static magnetic fields and
components which generate magnetic fields in operation:
* Solenoid valves and coils in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Relay with electronically controlled coils in vehicles and machinery
* Solenoid valves, pumping systems and burners, and much more
* Permanent magnets and electromagnets for various applications
4.1 Before the start of measurement
To ensure a proper function, the magnetic field detector should be tested
before each measurement using the supplied test magnet for a self-test. To do
this, follow these steps:
* Remove the test magnet from the rear end of the device
* Turn on the unit by pressing the TEST button and hold down the button
during test
* Move the test magnet with its round hole to the probe tip of the magnetic
field detector
* If the magnetic field detector is working properly, the LED lights up blue
* If no LED illuminates, check the batteries and the unit for other damages
