General information
These brief instructions contain the essential installation instructions for FLEX empty enclosures without claiming to be complete.
The brief instructions are intended for electrical engineering specialists of the manufacturer of the switchgear combination. In
addition to these brief instructions, the applicable operating instructions at www.pcelectric.at must also be observed.
PC Electric GmbH accepts no liability for any damage caused by:
• Non-observance of this Quick Start Guide and the applicable operating instructions
• Non-intended use
• Work on the empty enclosure by non electro technical personnel
• Use of untested components from third-party suppliers
Safety information
WARNING
Risk of electric shock due to live equipment!
Before starting any work, perform the following safety steps:
• Disconnect
• Secure against restarting
• Check that no voltage is present
• Ground and short-circuit
• Cover or isolate adjacent live parts
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper use in potentially explosive atmospheres!
FLEX enclosures are not designed for use in explosive atmospheres
• Observe the intended use of the FLEX enclosures
NOTE
Special operating conditions
• When used at temperatures below freezing point, the seals on the upper part of the enclosure or on the
hinged window may freeze - Replace the FLEX empty enclosure with the damaged seals
• In environments with uctuating temperature or high humidity, damage due to condensation is possible -
Provide FLEX empty enclosure with appropriate provisions for ventilation
Responsibility of the manufacturer of the switchgear combination
• Only electro technical specialists may work on the FLEX empty enclosure
• Provide functional and personal protective equipment
• Comply with country-specic directives, regulations and product standards
• Properly perform contact protection, potential bonding and protective conductor integration of the installed
switchgear
• Provide the necessary documents for qualied electricians
• Ensure that the installed components are used as intended
Intended use
FLEX empty enclosure is suitable for:
• Installation of protection and control devices, as well as plugs and sockets
• Production of low-voltage and switchgear combinations
• Use according to the technical data
All specications for the installation of the FLEX empty enclosure and the operating equipment must be observed. Any use beyond
this is considered improper!
