To set how soon the device goes into power
management mode when no Wi-Fi clients are
connected to it:
1. From the Web management page, click the
Settings tab.
2. Select System > Power Manager.
3. Select the time amount for the three following
standby timers:
Standby Timer On Battery: The device is battery-
supplied.
Standby Timer On NDIS: The device is connected
to a computer through the USB cable.
Standby Timer On Charger: The device is
connected to the AC adapter through the USB
cable.
4. Select Apply to save the configuration, or select
Cancel to cancel the configuration.
LCD Settings
To configure the LCD settings:
1. From the Web management page, click the
Settings tab.
2. Select System > LCD Settings.
3. Select Enabled in LCD Backlight option button to
enable the LCD backlight.
4. Select the time in the Auto Turn Off LCD Backlight
list box that the LCD backlight turns off
automatically. A smaller value helps prolong the
battery life.
5. Select Apply to save the configuration, or select
Cancel to cancel the configuration.
Maintaining the Password
A user account allows you to log in to the device's Web
management page. For security concerns, it is
recommended that you frequently change the
password.
Tip: Press any button to exit power management mode.
Tip: Disabling the LCD backlight to prolong the battery life, but
you cannot check the LCD for status icons and
messages. In case the LCD backlight is not needed, you
can select Disabled in LCD Backlight option button to
save the battery power.
