PHONE LOCK SETTING
This setting specifies whether the phone should be locked whenever it is turned on.
Lock Mode prevents the unauthorized use of your phone. Once the phone is locked, it
is in restricted mode until the Lock Code is entered. You can still make emergency calls.
You can modify the Lock Code using the new Lock code within the Security menu.
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key , scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select Security and press the OK Key .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the OK Key
.
The default Lock Code is last 4 digits of your Mobile Telephone Number.
3. Select Phone Lock Setting and press the OK Key .
4. Scroll to select one of the following settings and press the OK
Key

•
Unlocked: Phone is unlocked.
•
On Power Up: Phone will lock when it is turned on.
LOCK PHONE NOW
To immediately lock your phone:
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key , scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select Security and press the OK Key
.
2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the OK Key
.
The default Lock Code is last 4 digits of your Mobile Telephone Number.
3. Select Lock Phone Now and press the OK Key .
4. To unlock the phone, from idle mode, press the Right Soft Key
[Unlock] and enter the four-digit Lock Code, then press the
OK Key .
RESTORE PHONE
To delete all User Data and restore all settings to their initial defaults:
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key , scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select Security and press the OK Key .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the OK Key
.
The default Lock Code is last 4 digits of your Mobile Telephone Number.
3. Select Restore Phone and press the OK Key .
4. After reading the warning message that appears, scroll to select
Yes and press the OK Key
.

5. After reading the message that appears, press the OK Key .
6. Follow the on-screen prompt and press the OK Key
.
The phone will turn off and back on again automatically.
SYSTEM SELECT
You can set your phone to search or roam on another network when you are not in
your home area. Leave this setting as default unless you want to alter the system
selection as instructed by your service provider.
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key , scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select System Select and press the OK Key .
2. Scroll to select one of the following settings and press the OK Key
.
•
Automatic B: Scan radio channels based on the Automatic B setting.
•
Automatic A: Scan radio channels based on the Automatic A setting.
•
Home Only: Only within your home area or home affiliated area.
NAM SELECTION
Enables Auto NAM (Number Assignment Modules) or manually selects a NAM.
AUTO NAM
Automatically switches phone to proper NAM when you have multiple NAM
registrations.
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key
, scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select NAM Selection and press the OK Key .
2. Scroll to select Auto NAM and press the OK Key
.
3. Select On or Off and press the OK Key
.
CHANGE NAM
1. Press the OK Key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the
OK Key , scroll to Phone Settings and press the OK Key ,
select NAM Selection and press the OK Key .
2. Scroll to select Change NAM and press the OK Key
.
3. Select NAM 1 - VERIZON or NAM 2 - VERIZON and press the OK
