CAUTION Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap, ensuring that it makes good skin contact. Connect the clip to an unpainted surface of the chassis frame to safely channel unwanted ESD voltages to ground. To properly guard against ESD damage and shocks, the wrist strap and cord must operate effectively. If no wrist strap is available, ground yourself by touching the metal part of the chassis.

The compact, reliable stand-alone design allows enterprises to easily and flexibly integrate BRI lines into their VoIP system. It converts up to four simultaneous phone or fax calls from SIP or H.323 to BRI ISDN. Figure 3.

To access the web-browser interface, do the following: 1. In the SmartNode Discovery Tool window, select the line that displays the IP address of your SN4120. Figure 1. The information in this section is intended to introduce the configuration tools and get you started. For more detailed information about configuring your SN4120, please refer to the SmartWare Configuration Guide. The SN4120 immediately applies your changes whenever you modify the configuration.

Ethernet Configuration page The SN4120 supports two configuration options for the Ethernet connection (see figure 7), as described in the following paragraphs: • DHCP (client—factory default). The SN4120’s WAN port has a DHCP client enabled that uses an established Internet connection to get the Internet connectivity parameters (IP address, default gateway) automatically from a DHCP server.

Ethernet Ethernet devices (10Base-T/100Base-T) are connected to the SN4120 over a cable with RJ-45 plugs. All Ethernet ports on the SN4120 are Auto-MDX and use any straight or crossover cable to connect to hubs, switches, PCs or other devices.
