INSTRUCTIONS

FOR ITEM: 349-5917

1. Install suspension column by screwing onto stem of fixture while pulling cable from above. Fastening

cable by screwing headless screw, using supplied flat head screwdriver.

2. Attach the glass shade onto the glass bracket, secure it with a spacer and socket ring, using supplied

socket fixer.

3. Install a bulb (not included). See relamping label at socket area or packaging for maximum allowed

wattage.

Note: Follow the enclosed “Cable Length Adjustment” to adjust the

length of the cable if necessary.

WARNIGN: To avoid the risk of injury, be sure to turn off electrical power

while installing or servicing this fixture.

1-2 To mount Track, drill holes in ceiling or wall. Attach Track with

toggle bolts or screws if surface is solid material.

CAUTION: Turn off switch at main power source (fuse box)

before installing any Track or fittings.

STEP 1. Place Track over outlet box and mark position of

Track mounting holes on ceiling or wall. On wallboard or

plaster, drill 5/8" mounting holes and install Track to ceiling

or wall using toggle bolts. On wood surfaces, use Dry Wall

Screws.

STEP 2. Install mounting adapter and power fittings.

STEP 3. Switch on main power.

CAUTION: Disconnect power before installation.

To attach mounting adapter to the Track, align the polarity

lines of the Track and the polarity lines of the mounting

adapter. Push top portion of the adapter with contact

fingers into the slot in the Track and turn 90 (if the adapter

does not turn easily, do not force, but turn in other

direction.) To remove, depress the release lever with the

index finger and turn 90 .

Note: If the polarity lines of the Track and the polarity lines of

the mounting adapter don't match, the light won’t be working.

INSTRUCTIONS Cable Length Adjustment (If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician) Set Screw Strain Relief Adapter Cover Adapter Cover Wire Nut Slide Pad A A Spring Adapter Holder Adapter Holder 1 2 Cable Adapter Holder 3-a Strain Relief 1. Remove the adapter cover from the adapter holder by loosening the set screws. Remove the slide pad and spring, and set them aside. (Figure 1.) 2. Unscrew the wire nuts and separate the wires. 7. Connect the HOT wire from the fixture to the HOT wire from the adapter cover. Fasten each together with a wire nut and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed. 8. Carefully, tuck all the wires and wire nuts into the adapter holder. 9. Pull the cable down until the strain relief hits the bottom of the adapter holder. Then replace the spring and slide pad (Figure 5-a), and fasten the adapter cover to the adapter holder (Figure 5-b) with the 2 set screws.

Cut off the cable near the bottom of the adapter. (See Figure 1) 2. Install suspension column by screwing onto stem of fixture while Flat Head Screwdriver pulling cable from above. Fastening cable by screwing headless screw, using supplied flat head screwdriver.

15. Pull the cord ( A ) down slightly until the strain relief touches the hex nut of the canopy, then fastening cable by screwing headless screw, using supplied flat head screwdriver. Note: Adjusting the strain relief of the canopy can decrease or increase the length of cord that is exposed. 16. Place the canopy over the outlet box and onto the screws. Adjust the screws until they protrude out from the canopy 1/4”.
