PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly, installation or operation of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and diagram on previous page. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble,
install or operate the product.
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Screwdriver, Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, Electrical Tape, Wire Cutters,
Safety Glasses, Ladder, Wire Stripper.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
CEILINGS: Under UL 1598 the following applications exist for incandescent fixtures.
Note: NON-IC in production.
HOUSINGS: Under UL 1598 the following applications exist for incandescent fixtures.
SUSPENDED CEILING
Fixture can be installed in suspended ceilings that
are not permanent or insulated.
S-TYPE
T-TYPE (NON-IC TYPE)
THERMAL PROTECTED
Thermal protected fixture is designed for installation where will not come in direct
contact with insulation. Thermal insulation must be kept 3” away from housing includes
a thermal protector that deactivates the unit if an incorrect lamp is used or if insulation
is too close to the fixture.
WARNING: Before beginning any electrical work. Be sure all
electrical current to the immediate area has been SHUT OFF
at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
PROCEDURE:
Take fixture out of carton and PLACE parts out on work surface.
Use the exploded views to identify each piece. Each FIXTURE
contains 4 bar hangers-2 right handed and 2- left handed. These
hangers are necessary when installing recessed fixtures in new
construction APPLICATIONS.

2. INSTALLATION IN SUSPENDED CEILING:
Locate notches on bottom of bar hangers. Rest fixture of T-bars ensuring that notches on bar hangers mate with
T-bar grid; secure with wire. Adjust the fixture for appropriate ceiling thickness by loosening the hex screws that attach
the round housing to the plaster frame. Align the bottom edge of housing to ceiling line and tighten screws.
1. INSTALLATION IN WOOD
JOIST:
a. Telescopic bar hangers
have been engineered to
allow placing of housing
between joists. Position
hanger bars so that nails
point away from housing
and that hangers bars are
aligned with bottom of joist. To secure fixture hammer
nails to joists. Hanger bars can be shortened to fit 12”
framing by breaking at score line.(See Fig 1-a)
b. Adjust the fixture for
appropriate ceiling thickness
by loosening the hex screws
that attach the round
housing to the plaster frame.
Align the bottom edge of
housing to ceiling line and
tighten screws.(See Fig 1-b)
