INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECESSED LIGHTING FIXTURES

TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR FIRE, WHICH COULD BE INJURIOUS OR FATAL, PLEASE
MAKE SURE.....
TYPES OF INSTALLATION
*** To disconnect power at main fuse box before installing the fixture.
*** To check that the ground wire (bare or green insulated wire) is not connected to current carrying
supply wires.
*** That no bare wires are exposed outside of the connectors when connecting current carrying fixture
wires to current carrying house wires.
*** That the insulation on the fixture and house wires has not been damaged during installation and that
no rough or sharp edges of any surface are in contact with the wires.
*** The fixture supply wires are properly connected to the correct house supply wires.
*** Use only the type of light bulb specified with wattage no greater than specified on the max.wattage
label in the fixture.
*** Switch off the power when installing the light bulb in the fixture.
*** If you have any doubts about how to install this light fixture or it fails to operate properly, contact a
local licensed electrician.
This is the easiest way to install your recessed fixture. Before wall and ceiling covering materials are in
place, determine the location of the fixture and in accordance with local electrical standards, install the
wiring circuits.
Make sure that you have either an existing source of power or a way to supply it to area where this fixture will be
installed.
THESE FIXTURES MUST NOT BE BLANKETED WITH THERMAL INSULATION. KEEP INSULATION 3" AWAY
FROM HOUSING.
