Wrap all wire connectors (EE) with electrical tape as an extra safety

measure.

Carefully arrange excess wiring and wire connectors (EE) within outlet

box.

WARNING: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible after

making connections.

Align holes in canopy (A) with screws (BB) on mounting plate (AA) and

push up. Secure the fixture to ceiling with the two decorative nuts (CC)

previously removed (Step 3, page 3).

Install 5 medium base 60 watt max. A19 incandescent bulbs or 13 watt

max. SBCFL/SBLED bulbs (bulbs sold separately).

Restore power and test fixture (C).

CAUTION: When replacing bulbs, please allow bulbs to cool down before

touching.

Prepare wire by stripping 3/4 inch of insulation from wire ends using wire

strippers (not included).

Make wire connections with wire connectors (EE) provided as follows:

Connect the RIBBED wire from fixture to WHITE wire from outlet box.

Connect the SMOOTH wire from fixture to BLACK wire from outlet box.

Connect BARE ground wire from fixture to BARE/GREEN ground wire

from outlet box.

NOTE: If your outlet box wiring does not have a BARE/GREEN ground

wire, the ground BARE wire from fixture should be attached to the

GREEN SCREW labeled GND on the mounting plate.

NOTE: Screw wire connectors (EE) on in a clockwise direction.

WARNING: Never connect ground wire to WHITE or BLACK power

supply wires.

Temporarily place canopy (A) over mounting plate (AA) to determine

amount of adjustment necessary for screws (BB) -- screws (BB)

should come through holes in canopy (A) just enough so decorative

nuts (CC) will fit flush against canopy (A) when mounted.

While gripping one of the nuts (DD) with pliers (not included), loosen

screw (BB) and then loosen nut (DD). Repeat for other screw and

nut. Once screws (BB) are adjusted, use pliers to tighten nuts (DD)

on screws (BB) until nuts (DD) touch mounting plate (AA).

Tip: Seek the help of another person to lift the fixture up to you once

you are set on the ladder.
