WARNING • Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickelcadmium or other types) batteries. • Replace only with 1.5V “AA” type batteries. Please remove batteries if consumed or if product is to be left unused for a long time or when depleted. • Replace all batteries of a set at the same time and clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to the battery installation. • Replace batteries insuring proper polarity.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT CHANGING THE BATTERY (Figures 4 & 5) Figure 4 • Slide the battery compartment cover to open. • Carefully remove the old batteries. • Insert 3 new AA 1.5V batteries (not included) noting the correct polarity for each. • Re-assemble the unit by reversing the above procedure.

TROUBLESHOOTING The light does not come on: • Make sure the switch is in the ON or TIMER position. • Check the batteries and make sure that they are in contact with the metal plate and the polarity is correct. If the batteries are worn out, replace with AA 1.5V batteries.
